Janet Mylott

Charlotte Brontë, Deviser, and Writer

Janet Mylott has held various roles supporting non-profit theatre, devising and playwriting. Prior to her work with Band of Toughs, she served as Director of Muse Works, an annual new play development series for Muse of Fire Productions in NYC and taught at the Young Writer’s Workshop at the University of Virginia. Most recently Janet spent creative time at Princeton University with additional BoTs helping Kamara Thomas develop her multi-disciplinary storywork Tulorosa: An American Dreamtime.

Janet is immensely grateful to have the opportunity to tell the story of these passionate, creative and collaborative sisters with her favorite creator, her sister! And she loves being a part of the BoTs creative family!

Michael Gunst

Branwell Brontë and Deviser

Michael Gunst has been working in the field of movement-based theatre for just under 50 years as a creator, performer, collaborator of original works, director, teacher and actor. He has performed and toured with The International Mime Company of New England in Mexico. Faustwork Mask Theatre, Toronto, Circus Flora, St. Louis, Asolo Theatre, FL, Studebaker Theatre of Boston MA, where he has collaboratively created 5 different shows that toured nationally and internationally to Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Holland and England. With his solo work Michael created and produced “Four Wishes” a Puppet Mask Theatre show based on a Native New England Indigenous teaching story that has been performed in schools and festivals in the U.S. as well as Canada. As an Associate Member of The Band of Toughs, Boulder, CO Michael has helped bring Local Boulder and Denver audiences several different genre-bending performances of self-produced works. For several years as a teaching/performing artist Michael was on the rosters of Young Audiences in Maryland, Houston, Rochester, NY and Think 360 Arts of Denver. Locally he has performed with Germinal Stage, Denver Civic, Nomad, and Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Michael has also had recurring roles on Nickelodeon’s Weinerville show. He received an MFA from Brandeis University’s Professional Actor Training Program.

Elizabeth Kirchmeier

Emily Brontë and Deviser

Elizabeth is thrilled to return to Denver Performing Arts Complex with The Band of Toughs. This is her fourth production with the BoTs and you may have previously seen her in Nirvamlet (Ophelia) and As You Like (Celia at Denver Performing Arts Complex - 2021). Her other recent notable appearances have included ZOTTO: An Immersive Japanese Folktale produced by Japanese Arts Network and Theatre Artibus, Twelfth Night produced by The Three Leaches and an all-female/non-binary staging of Macbeth produced by Misfits Theatre Company.

Anne Brontë

Atlas is excited to be making their BoTs Debut at the incredible Ellie Caulkins Opera House! Becoming a part of the “BoTs Mafia” has been an enriching experience, that they are deeply humbled and honoured to share with these fabulous humans! Atlas is a graduating senior at MSU Denver, receiving a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in dance, they are also a certified actor combatant! Recent credits include The Legend of Georgia McBride & In The Heights (Vintage Theatre), Xanadu, MacBeth, and Brightstar (MSU Denver). James Brunt

Bibliophile Supreme and Audience Wrangler

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, James Brunt is most known for pushing the boundaries of what we know about theater with immersive productions in obscure settings and hard-hitting concepts. Favorite previous roles are David in Theater of the Mind with The Denver Center for The Performing Arts’ Off Center, Jaques in As You Like It with The Band of Toughs and Ensemble in Shockheaded Peter with The Catamounts. He also was one of the Santas in Camp Christmas at DCPA (2019 True West Award for Breakout Actors)

Michael Sater

Bibliophile - Team Charlotte, Writer, and Rochester

Michael Sater (he/him) has been working with the Band of Toughs since 2018, and they just won’t let him leave. He does most of his working and living from Chicago, where he has worked with the Alluvium Group, Odradek Theatre Company, Stage B Theatre Company, The Den Theatre, The Neofuturists, and many more. He wants to thank Colleen Mylott for not only putting up with him but also putting him up.

Mary Kate Kearney

Bibliophile - Team Charlotte and Jane Eyre

Mary Kate is a recent college graduate breaking into professional Theatre with her double major in English and Theatre. She is ecstatic to be returning home to Colorado  to be part of this wonderful show! 

LLoyd Harvey II

Bibliophile - Team Emily and Heathcliff

A professional actor from Fort Worth, who got cast in one show at Backstage Breckenridge back in June 2022 and ended up doing 9 shows with the theatre. Lloyd has appeared in BBT’s Airness, The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter and the Starcatcher. He previously worked with Dallas Children’s Theatre, Casa Mañana, Jubilee Theatre, Uptown Players, WaterTower Theatre, and many others. Some of his greatest hits include Next to Normal (Dan), Company (Bobby), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), Some Girls (Guy), Take Me Out (Darren Lemming), Dog Sees God (Beethoven), RENT (Tom Collins) and Peter Pan (Captain Hook). Super excited to join the Band of Toughs in this wild adventure! 

Lainey Martin

Bibliophile - Team Emily and Cathy

Lainey Martin is an actor and director hailing from France but based in Colorado. Her previous Denver-area appearances include originating the role of Maggie in Empathy Theater Project’s new musical We’re Still Here, work on Control Group Productions’ Breathing Healing into the Banks of Sand Creek, and several films such as Film Hound’s The Muse & Her Author and Blazing Bird Productions’ Madness of Men. In Colorado Springs, you may have spotted her in various works with Counterweight Theatre Lab, Theatre D’Art, and Campfire Theater Tours. She co-founded Fairy House Productions in 2023 and had the joy of making her directorial debut this past spring, with the eponymous Fairy House by Emily Newton.

Caden Pazo

Bibliophile - Team Anne and Arther Huntingdon

Caden Pazo (he/him) earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from MSU Denver. Caden is a theatrical every-man with interests in acting, stage management, stage combat, devised theatre, and arts administration. He is elated to join this boisterous group for this immersive tale. Some of his favorite credits include Stonewall (Tommy) at Benchmark Theatre, Cyrano de Bergerac (Ensemble) with Wheat Ridge Theatre Company, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Jesus) and Pippin (Ensemble) with MSU Denver as well as The Legend of Georgia McBride (Stage Manager) at Vintage Theatre. He is presently the Secretary Board Member of the Colorado Theatre Guild. Caden aspires to make art that changes every person who experiences it. Karina Costantino

Karina Costantino has a BFA from Naropa University. She is a dancer at heart and loves to immerse herself in Latin and African rhythms. You can always find her on the dance floor shaking her booty. She performs because she loves connecting and getting weird with her fellow performers. The performing arts community, especially with the Band of Toughs, is her home away from home.

Kate Moore

Tuberculosis (TB for short), Bibliophile - Team Branwell and Deviser

A company member of Band of Toughs, Kate is excited to be back with the company for this new adventure. She is also a co-founder of The Great Perhaps Performance Collective and the creator of the Vitali-D Project, a theatrical performance series used to create space for dialogue around depression and mental illness. Kate holds an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University and a BFA in Acting from Ball State University.

Kamara Thomas

Band Leader of Bertha and the Bed Burners, Maria Brontë, and Bertha Mason

Kamara Thomas is a singer, songspeller, multidisciplinary storyteller based in Durham, NC. She has recently completed an arts fellowship at Princeton where she taught songwriting, storytelling and performance and presented her musical storytelling works Xulgaria and Tularosa: An American Dreamtime in collaboration with Band of Toughs.

Veronica May

Band member - Bertha and the Bed Burners

Veronica May is a musician of all trades and an all-around great gal. A former music therapist, pianist, guitarist and awkward dancer, V has been very excited to reconnect with drums after a hiatus, because nothing beats a drum like a drummer. For more ok puns, just talk to her for two minutes. She can’t help it.
